Privacy Policy

How Your Trip Pilot stores and protects information in its local-first Android release.

Effective 22 June 2026

Operator: Rushit Harkhani · India · Contact: rushitharkhani95@gmail.com

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Your Trip Pilot mobile application operated by Rushit Harkhani. It describes the default local-first release available through Google Play. The app is not intended for children under 13.

2. Information you choose to store

The app can store destinations, dates, itineraries, budgets, expenses, currencies, packing items, notes, reservation text, traveler labels, journal entries, route records, reminders, and photos or videos you select. An optional device profile may contain a display name and email address. Release 1 stores this information locally on your device.

3. Location

The app requests foreground location only when you choose a one-time current location or explicitly start visible route recording. Tracking remains visibly active and stops when you stop it or when foreground recording ends. The app does not request background-location permission.

4. Accounts, providers, analytics and ads

Release 1 does not provide online account creation, cloud synchronization, collaboration invitations, live transport alerts, advertising or analytics. The optional device profile is not an online account. Online map, place, weather, routing and currency provider features are disabled in the default release.

5. Device storage, exports and sharing

Trip information is stored in the app's local database. Selected journal media is copied into app-controlled local storage. Android system backup is disabled. User-created backup files are encrypted locally with a passphrase that the app does not retain. Information leaves the app only when you explicitly choose an export, share action, external navigation link, or policy/support link. Files saved or shared outside the app are controlled by the destination you select.

6. Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you delete individual content, use Profile and data → Privacy and data → Delete all local data, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Deleting all local data is designed to remove the local database, copied journal media, route records, caches and generated local backups. Exported files saved elsewhere must be deleted separately. See the deletion page.

7. Security

The app uses operating-system storage controls, disables cleartext network traffic, limits release features through configuration, and encrypts user-created backup exports. No storage method is completely secure. Use a device lock and protect exported files and passphrases.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review, edit, export and delete local information through the app. You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions in Android Settings. Depending on applicable law, you may request information about processing or raise a privacy concern by emailing rushitharkhani95@gmail.com. Because release 1 has no server account or cloud database, the operator generally cannot retrieve local app data from your device.

9. Changes

Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and its effective date. If future versions enable cloud services, analytics, advertising or live providers, this policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before that release.
